Best Friends™ Adult Day Center
The respite care and services offered at Best Friends™ Adult Day Center support adults in need of specialized dementia care. Participants enjoy the company of peers and meaningful activities within our safe, home-like environment for truly fulfilling days.
Our experienced staff and volunteers are extensively trained in Best Friends™ model of care. They work individually with our residents to learn their life stories and essentially become their “Best Friends.” These “Best Friends” know how to emphasize our residents’ strengths and abilities, encourage them to participate in meaningful and fun activities, and spend days together that are positive, upbeat and life-affirming.
“The best part of being a Best Friends’ volunteer is not the four hours we spend with our friends, although it doesn’t get much better than that. It is knowing, through our training and experience, we have the ability to go out into the community and help so many others facing the daunting journey of dementia.” – David Nisbet, Volunteer
